Hey I had my second comic book sale in my NY studio today. Saw Lauren Weinstein, Tim Hodler (and their beautiful dotter), Jonny Negron, lala “Lauren Albert”, Zach Hazard, Dan Nadel (and his baby boy), Ariel LeBeau, Leigh Walton, Colleen Lynne Cox, Matt from Hic and Hoc Publications - and I also met a ton of people I have only gotten to know recently through tumblr and through tcj.com and my other blogs. And I met people just passing by who saw my sign. (A little kid and his mom came up looking for Avengers comics - we had to hide the Jonny Negron artwork!) Sorry if I didn’t list your name and you are miffed. It was great to meet you and thanks for coming down to my comic book sale. I just wanna mention here that I think tumblr is becoming a very interesting platform for cartoonists. Not really the cul-de-sac that webcomics, blogs or websites are these days. It is interesting too that many of my well read comic book friends are unaware of folks like lala who have whole lives on tumblr but may not be super well known in the comics shop. Just sayin.
